Quilt with Hand Dyed Cottons

I just returned from a trip to Italy this week! I am inspired once again by the Romanesque architecture, the art and the gorgeous countryside. Here is a wall quilt that I made several years ago. Up next: bringing this fresh inspiration to my encaustic work.

Announcing Greenville Center for Creative Arts first juried exhibit!

Making Faces

UNSEEN GREENVILLE is a juried exhibition focusing on the people and places in Greenville County that often go unnoticed.  While Greenville continues to grow and prosper, we often lose sight of the wealth of experiences, places and diversity found below the surface.  Noticing this, the Greenville News, in June, hosted a discussion inspiring its citizens to move forward "as one community...sharing in the success that surrounds us."  This exhibition will focus on those parts of Greenville which are often unnoticed, but are a vital part of what has made Greenville an amazing place to be.  The Juror is Todd McDonald, Associate Professor of Painting at Clemson University.

Three cash prizes will be distributed including:  Best in Show ($1,000), Second Place ($500), Third Place ($250), and several Merit Awards.

Deadline for Entries:  Friday, November 13, 2015

Prospectus available at GCCA (25 Draper St., Greenville), the GCCA website (www.artcentergreenville.org) , or Metropolitan Arts Council, (16 Augusta St., Greenville).
